Can I measure the battery is working?

Hi,

I want to directly measure with voltmeter the battery is working or not although I have tried to measure after disassemble motherboard connection then touching big + - sign on the battery power distrubution board I cannot read any voltage so I want to be sure if the battery work or not the motherboard is liquid damaged and I want to be sure which parts still work if battery is not work I have to buy new one.

So is there a method to measure battery with voltmeter without connection with motherboard ?

Not really understanding why you want to make this so hard.

With the battery properly installed you can measure the voltage directly off the logic board.

If you don’t want to take the system a part and the system is not responding you can test things using a USB-C power meter which I often do.

If you are testing a collection of batteries and you have a junker logic board you can cut off the power connector area and hard wire some test leads to it to connect to a meter. I did the reverse getting a dead battery talking off its logic board so I could attach it to the logic board when I’m working on it.
