Why is my new battery not working?

The original battery still works, but the trackpad stopped clicking. I suspected it might be swollen, so I removed it. However, it did not appear swollen. I decided to replace it anyway due to the trackpad issue.

I installed the new battery, but when I connected the charger, the light turned green instead of amber as it should have when charging. Additionally, I was unable to turn on the computer. The trackpad worked with this new battery.

After a few hours, I removed the new battery and reinstalled the original one. Everything except for the trackpad worked normally.

I contacted the store where I bought it, thinking that I had received a defective battery. They sent me another one, but the same thing happened again."

What could be the problem?

Original battery: A1321, 10.95V, 77.5Wh

Replacement battery; A1321, 10.95V, 59Wh, 5300mAh

Answer this question I have this problem too

Let’s get a better view of things, if the system boots up with the charger let’s install this gem of an App! CoconutBattery take a snapshot of the apps main window posting it here so we can see it.

The computer is completely dead when the replacement battery is installed, it won´t start even with the charger.

Works fine with the original battery or no batery/charger only.
