The Ryobi Electric Lawn Mower, released in 2020, is a cordless push lawn mower with a 20” cutting deck. It runs on a 40-Volt, 6AH lithium-ion battery and provides power equivalent to gas-operated lawn mowers with its brushless motor. It is recharged with the included 40-Volt charger. Model names include RY401011, RY401011VNM and RY401011BTLVNM.

After everything is disassembled and reassembled, the grass does not automatically suck into the bag.

Are grass clippings sucked or blown into the collection bag? I'm not familiar with electric mowers but a process of elimination may help. If the bag can be removed without triggering a safety switch to prevent mower operation or switch temporarily bypassed to operate the mower, mower is clean and free of debris, try turning it on to observe the exit chute. Wear safety glasses to prevent eye injury. You might be able to see why clippings aren't collected into the bag. If the bag is breathable, is it cleaned of debris?

@jefferyw remember that you can't use the mulching plug for the rear bagging operation. Make sure that you remove it. Here are the instruction from Ryobi. Double check the instructions from the RY401011 Operator's Manual Page 18 goes through the troubleshooting steps.
