Mobile Network and S Pen issues after screen replacement

I have been working to solve this for a while now. The screen was damaged, I had it replaced out of state at a small shop in Alhambra. I have issues connecting to any mobile network constantly. It really only like to connect to mobile data when the wifi is connected.

The S-Pen no longer works with AirPlay at all and it acts like the pen is out all the time. I don't have any of the old parts. I ordered a new antenna just in case some kind of damage happened and it also is not working. Really at a loss as to how to fix this phone.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Hi Ryan,

Almost all of the Samsung phones have two different methods of replacing a screen; the recommended way is to replace the screen plus frame assembly, but you can also just replace the screen by itself. Do you have any idea which way the repair shop you went to did the job?

My suggestion would be to buy a genuine Samsung screen+frame assembly and transfer the internals of your phone to the new frame. That should alleviate any issues with antennas or connections or contacts that may have resulted from an inexpertly done repair or aftermarket frame that wasn't built correctly or is missing parts. You can find instructions on the screen/frame/battery replacement guide here.

Normally you can also buy a genuine Samsung screen right here on iFixit, but it appears they're out of stock at the moment. An internet search shouldn't have much trouble finding a replacement.
