My Thunderbolt Port on my MacBook isn't working properly.

My Mid-2017 13in Macbook Pro charging port doesn't work. When I plug in my cable to charge my laptop, it charges and stops charging in intervals. When I use my cable and brick for my other devices, it charges so I know it's not my cable or brick its my laptop. Should I replace the 2 thunderbolt ports, if so please send me a link. I'm doing this to get ready for college!

So here’s the tricky thing with your machine. The USB-C ports are soldered to the logic board, so they aren’t easily replacable. But I WOULD recommend giving them a good inspection anyway and clean them up with some isopropyl alcohol and a cotton swab. It could just be a dirty connection. You’ll need to take the logic board out to see them, but luckily this one is relatively painless (for a logic board) to remove.

It is pretty common for the pins on the USB-C ports to become damaged or corroded, so I would recommend removing the USB-C boards and inspecting them. If they look clean then the issue is probably with your battery or in the worse case scenario there could be an issue with the main logic board. Good luck!

@zpl is right, this sounds like some kind of failure on the USB-C ports.

My advice is to order some ports off ebay alongside getting a kit from ifixit to replace the ports.
