Galaxy Tab A8 Screen replacement and LCD flex cable

Hi everyone,

Thank you for taking your time to read this. I have a A8 tablet and it needs screen replacement. The LCD flex cable of the screen is bended and I think it will also have to be replaced. I have never repaired at this lvl any device, but I have seen videos and I think I can do it. But I need some advise buying the parts because I am affraid that later they may not work because they are not comaptible. The details of the tablet are: Galaxy Tab A8 SM-X200 S/N: R9JT1072HKL and date of production is january 2022.

Now the parts I have looked are:

This above it says 2021 and my tab production date is january 22 I dont know if that will be issue, I guess so.

The LCD flex cable I also find 2021 and As you see in the image of the ebay its 2146 the numbers below "FPC", but my tab currently has 2149 instead. All the other text is same.

Here are the part numbers for the parts that you want:

Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 10.5 2021 (SM-X200 SM-X205) Display module LCD + Digitizer : GH81-21915A

Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 10.5 2021 (SM-X200 SM-X205) LCD flex : GH81-21970A

Search online using the part number only, to find suppliers that suit you best.

Best as I can find out there is only one Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 10.5 2021 tablet, an sm-x200 (WiFi) version, or an sm-x205 (WiFi/4G) version.

There is no Tab A8 2022 model

There are earlier Tab A8 models i.e. Tab A8 2015 sm-t350 -t355. Tab A8 2017 sm-t380 -t385 and Tab A8 2019 sm-t290 sm-t295 but no newer models after 2021.

Seems like they release a newer version every 2 years but then they have a different model number(s)

Of course this doesn't mean that they're only made in the same year as they are released. Production may last for 2 years before the new model is introduced.

Different same model name tablet versions will not have the same model number, same model name maybe but not same model number.

They may use the same part in different models but if you know the part number for a part in your model you can't go wrong.
