Is PA-1311 the right PSU for iMac 27" 2020 model?

Trying to buy PSU for my iMac 27" 2020 desktop, but found several model numbers on the market, so, just want to buy the right one, should PA-1311 2A2 good? Any thoughts?

Thanks,

So as you can see that is the correct unit for your system.

@Dan - Thanks Dan. By the way, a question though, after replacing the GPU, what's the proper way to get power connected in order to avoid short or burnt on GPU board?

Thanks,

@lovecd - Are we taking about the 2020 27” 5K iMac? There is no GPU board in the newer systems. The last series to have a MXM GPU board was the 2011 systems.

Sorry Dan, I was referring to PSU board, not GPU. I heard some stories that the PSU board is shortened if not connecting power cord correctly. Any suggestions?

@lovecd - There was a bad run of PSU’s which had the neutral and ground lines mis-wired! I would recommend you work on an insulated bench and use an isolation transformer it you are doing this for a living.

After you put things together enough to test things I would take a Volt meter testing the chassis ground to the outlets neutral and ground points. You should not see voltage on either (hot side for sure).

Other than that I haven’t encountered any issues!
