Hi, I am trying to teplace the capstan belt of my Sony B39 walkman. This is a quite complex one. Does any one have any experience on this topic?

Thanks for this. Have you opened one before? I’m struggling a little with the first part as when you insert the driver and move the tab to the left it only releases one hinge of the cassette holder does the other side just pull out? Thanks again

I haven't worked on that model but normally all you are doing is releasing the catch (lug?) that holds the case together. Once released you can gently pull,pry the case apart.

In the manual it shows in which direction to move it.
