Try pushing the button on your dash or beside your shift stick that says esc , stands for electronic skid or slide control. The light means someone at some point pushed button wondering what it was or so they could actually drive like an m series should be driven but forgot to switch it back after. If it stays on after that a sensor for your esc got dirty or shifted when in manual mode. Try washing under car or just go who needs esc im the one in control and put up with lil light on dash. Worst case scenario is your esc unit is toast and either replace it or refer to my earlier remedy of not having traction control.

I’m pretty confident one of these very simple to test theories will be what turns off your light.
