Horizontal flickering lines on screen, depends on display angle

Hi everyone, I have issue with my macbook pro m1 late 2020. It started from nowhere, horizontal flickering lines just showed up, when topcase is nearly closed everything is fine. Check out video YOUTUBE . I guess its problem with flex cable but witch one? I want to try repair it on myself because service wants to change display for like 600$. Anyone had similar issue and know exactly which cable should I change? Thanks!

Yup! The display cable is damaged. There are two display cables (two outside cables) one carry’s the backlight power and vertical signals and the second carriers the horizontal signals. Reference Step 29 in this guide to see them MacBook Pro 13" Two Thunderbolt Ports Late 2020 Display Assembly Replacement the smaller ones are the camera and photo sensor and active camera LED.

These are not really repairable as they need to flex.

If I might expand a bit on Dan's excellent commentary, not only aren't they repairable, but because they're bonded directly to the glass and the electrical circuits etched into the glass, they're not replaceable either.

Which explains the price quote for replacing the whole display, since that's the only repair possible, at least to us mere mortals.
