My game keeps freezing as soon as it starts up. What do I do?

Hello! I am trying to get help because my ps3 game isnt working well. As soon as i turn the game on, it freezes on one screen. The ps3 didnt freeze as because i can access the home menu and the menu to turn off the ps3 and/or controller. How do i fix it?
