My Samsung Galaxy s2 is not charging

I've had this phone for many years and I've gone back to it to fix it many times but never managed to do so

So basically this phone has a changing problem sometimes it did others it didn't charge and after a while it stop charging completely i thought buying a new replacement charging port will do the trick i bought one and still nothing no charge

I was thinking it might be the battery but if it was the battery wouldn't it stop charging in the first place because when i moved the Cable a bit it was charging but i have no idea

Answer this question I have this problem too

If the battery hasn't been recharged for a long while then most probably it has become depleted beyond recovery and needs to be replaced.

If you want to check if it is getting power to charge, here's the charging flowchart from the service manual for the phone.

On p.37 is the schematic for the charging circuit and p.28-p.29 have the board layout.

There's also a parts list on p.9-p.18

Hopefully this will help you to find out what's wrong.
