34" monitor display goes black randomly

I have a Samsung LS34J550WQNXZA 34" ultrawide display that I picked up in late 2021. The monitor worked fine for the first 6 months, but then it started to randomly turn off for a few seconds. Sometimes it would just be once, but it's now turning off multiple times per day. I've swapped out cables, switched from Displayport to HDMI and back, tried different docks and different computers. It's the monitor itself. It acts like it's losing power as it totally disconnects from the computer and reconnects. Any advice?

When you say that it "acts like it's losing power," do you mean that it completely powers off? Because it sounds like it could be an issue with the internal power supply.

Yes that's what it's doing.

The display doesn't have a typical power connection - it's a 19v DC power supply. The transformer is an obnoxiously large box that plugs into the outlet with a round plug going into the monitor. I think that is bad, but I don't have a way to prove it without a second one.

And something new that I noticed while working thru troubleshooting with Samsung: The display's menu locks up a few seconds before it crashes.

@chrislibby just wondering if you ever got this fixed and what the outcome was.
