Why does my television occasionally flicker for a split second?

My television occasionally flickers/cuts to black for a split second. This occurs on streaming apps and gaming consoles. TCL Model 55S555, I’ve been sent two separate models from support and have had the issue with all of them.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

@caseymendoza so are these new TV’s? It will all depend on how long the flickering lasts and how often. If you have the exact same issue with two different devices my suspicion are the connections. You always want to start with a new HDMI cable. Next you need to make sure your AC outlet is properly grounded etc. The black screen is usually loss of power/signal.

These are new TV’s. Issue occurs within a couple hours of having them plugged in. I may rule out the HDMI because the issue occurs on streaming apps that are via the Roku OS. Could be the outlet isn’t properly grounded though. I’ll grab a tester from work tomorrow.

Flickering only lasts about a split second and occurs randomly like once every 30 minutes or so.
