@trey43177 It's best not to, generally water-resistant electronics will have their water resistance compromised if there is any hole that wasn't designed to be there in the first place.
Water resistance is dependent on all seals being intact, as they have to withstand the pressure of the water trying to push in.
Once there is a seal broken or the outside of the device has been compromised, water will rush in.
For this reason I assume that phones which have their batteries replaced are no longer water resistant anymore, as it is impossible to verify the seal is watertight.
