If available can you plug into a docking station to duplicate your screen?

You said power light comes what about any other lights?

Does it make any sound or noise? From the speaker, internal fan, or other hardware?

I would check the connection to the backlight with a mutiimeter make sure to check that the cable did not come lose. You should only need to replace the backlight if that is an issue. I would check the laptop with an external monitor to see if it an issue with the screen or it is something worse like an issue with a component related to the display. I do not know if there are any signs of life like a startup sound but that would mean the laptop is still fully functional. Be very careful and do not apply any pressue to the display. If glue is used you may need to purchase some isopropyl alcohol get 91% as low purity can act like water and damage components. Hope this helps.

@krispradhan the very first thing you need to determine is if the laptop even turns on. If it does not turn on, the LCD will not work either.

Next you want to try a reset. Disconnect the battery as well as the AC power supply. Now press and hold the power button for about a minute. Then reconnect the power and see if it turns on.

Connect an external monitor to your laptop and see if that displays correctly. Is it does, you know that the issue is your LCD. Could be the screen, the cable or the display circuitry on your computer.

Just to verify, your laptop is a F550D?
