What may I have crushed inside my iPod.
I smashed my ipod classic MULTIPLE times and still the red x... Now I can little pieces in the ipod as if I crushed something inside of it. please help !!!!!

Sasha, I guess the smacking of the iPod to release a stuck HDD did not work for you. It works sometimes, and only when it is a stuck drive, not a HDD failure. So, no matter how hard you smack it, if the drive is dead, it's dead. The only way to determine what's broke will be to disassemble it, and then to evaluate the damage. At this point, the only thing you know for sure, is that you need a new HDD. Follow these guides to help you with your task. Hope this helps, good luck.
