My MacBook Pro's usb c ports are killing my devices

Hello everyone.

I got a friend's MacBook Pro (15 inches, 2017) today, the MacOSX was damaged so I formatted and install high sierra on it, I mounted an iso image on a USB and connect it to a USB C hub, and all the progress went just fine.

After finishing the setting up, I expulsed the hub, the next time I connected the USB c hub with a USB the Mac alert me with a message that "USB Accessories Disabled" and my hub led went off, I tried to reconnect it another laptop and computers but it doesn't work again.

I asked the owner about it, he told me that got 2 external hard drives damaged after using them in the Macbook.

Does everyone have this problem before?

I searched on the internet about it but I can't find anything about it.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

The first thing I would do is have a good look at the ports themselves. You will want to take them out to inspect. Use the Battery Replacement Guide up to step 49 to get your logic board out. The USB C boards are held in with 2 T5 screws and should pull right out once you get the board out. Beyond that, this could be a board level issue. I would give that a good look as well. Check for anything that looks out of place, damaged, burnt, etc...
