Dead pixels can be frustrating, especially when they're caused by factors like water damage. Here's what you can do:

  1. Allow Time to Dry: If the water damage was recent, allow your device to thoroughly dry in a well-ventilated area. Don't use heat sources like hairdryers, as excessive heat can cause more damage. Once it's completely dry, try powering it on to see if the dead pixel issue persists.
  2. Pixel Exercisers: There are some videos and applications available that claim to fix stuck or dead pixels by rapidly cycling through colors. While this might work for some cases, it's not guaranteed and could take time.
  3. Professional Repair: If the dead pixel persists, your best option might be to reach out to a professional technician or the manufacturer's customer support. They might be able to assess the extent of the water damage and provide a solution, whether that involves repairing the screen or suggesting a replacement.
  4. Warranty Consideration: Check if your device is still under warranty. If it is, and the water damage is covered (some warranties do cover certain types of accidental damage), you might be eligible for a repair or replacement.
  5. Replacement: If the dead pixel remains an issue and the cost of repair is high, you might need to consider replacing the device's screen or the device itself, depending on the severity of the damage.
  6. Prevention in the Future: Going forward, it's important to keep electronic devices away from water and other liquids to prevent similar issues. Consider using protective cases and covers for your devices if you're going to be in situations where water exposure is possible.

Remember that repairing hardware issues can be complex and might require specialized tools and expertise. It's often best to consult with professionals, especially when it comes to delicate components like screens.

@bhagathsin51397 since you are dealing with a water damaged device, you also need to make sure that you take care of the water damage. If you do not, then it is possible that your phone will continue to corrode and may fail at a later point.

First thing you want to do is to clean it. Disassemble your phone using something like this as your guide . You must remove all EMI shields from the boards. After you remove those, clean the boards, connectors and all with +90% isopropyl alcohol. Follow this guide, even so it was written for an Apple iPhone 3G, all the points are still pertinent to your phone as well. While you clean your boards, check for any obvious damage, like burned or missing components etc. When it is properly cleaned, replace the battery. All these steps are to avoid delayed failure caused by corrosion. Best thing to do would be to clean it with an ultrasonic cleaner, but if you do not have access to one, this will at least help. Once all this is done, reassemble your phone and reevaluate. Until it is cleaned, everything will only be a guess. It is possible that you have a bad LCD and replacing the display assembly may fix it. Even with all this, water damage has only a small chance to be fully repaired, but at least you can give it a try.
