Where are the memory slot locations?

I have a Toshiba Satellite a65 - s126 (768 MB of RAM)

Is there another memory slot location besides the one under the cover on the bottom in the middle?

I had a total of 768 MB of RAM... I removed the chip on the bottom, and it says I still have 192 MB of RAM (it even booted into windows). So i figure there is another weird chip somewhere, or it has built in memory (I have never seen built in memory before).

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi @ccfcomputing

According to this supplier the laptop has 256MB of non removable memory and one memory slot catering for up to 1GB x PC2700 memory (supplier example only) for a maximum of 1.25GB memory.

The non removable memory is just memory ICs that you see on removable memory modules except that they're soldered directly onto the motherboard.

There are a few modern laptops where all the memory and the storage drive (eMMC -nand flash memory storage) is soldered to the board so there's no option to increase the amount of memory or storage if you want to, i.e. no removable memory slots at all and storage is soldered to the motherboard as well. Something to check if looking for a new laptop.
