Can you explain your reason here a bit more.

Are you wanting to access the iMacs data from your MacBook Pro? Either locally or remotely.

Are you trying to setup your MacBookPro as a replacement of your iMac?

You don’t need to remove the drive from your iMac to attain that!

@bg234 - Which system has the damaged display? iMac or MacBook Pro and which model as that also effects the answer.
