Battery power connector broke off while replacing battery

While replacing the battery, the pancake screw was stuck so I tried really hard to get it unscrewed. I succeeded but also it come off altogether.

How can I glue/tape/solder this back? Can I do it myself?

Boy you really did it! 😩

It might be possible for someone with the deeper skills and proper tools to reattach the connector electrically. But it will not last long as the physical connection of the solder pads are to badly damaged, instead jumpers will be needed.

So it you are trying to salvage the systems data and/or remove the risk of data being salvaged that is possible.

In any case you’ll need a replacement logic board to properly repair this system. So consider the cost and the risks.

So why can’t I just solder this back on? On the back side of the connector we can see the remaining parts of the boards copper traces so there’s nothing to solder to that offers an electrical pathway and glueing won’t create the electrical pathways only address the mechanical attachment (poorly).

Wow, didn't expect that :( Thank you for your answer. Logic board replacement will be too much costly for me. I will keep using it for a while it's attached to the power cable. Getting a new laptop will be better I guess.
