My pc is showing light when I turn it on but doesn't show display

Have you checked that the monitor is working e.g. can you view the monitor's menu screens OK?
Is there an error message on the monitor saying "no signal" or something similar?
Can you try another monitor to make sure the problem is in the PC and not the monitor?
