You need to use a USB-A>C adapter or replace the printer cable with a USB-C printer cable.

You can use something like this if you do not want to totally change the printer cable: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/insignia-us...

Otherwise, get something like this: https://www.staples.com/StarTech-com-2m-...

You can also look into a USB-C hub with a USB-A breakout as well if the printer has never had an issue with hubs; some do, some don't.
