Will replacing the joystick fix this?

I'm having trouble with my right joycon, but since it is not exactly drifting (up and down are not working) I fear that it might need a more advanced fix.

I plan to replace the old joystick with new ones from Amazon. Is it recommended for this case?

Any help will be greatly appreciated,

I replaced the joysticks with ones from Amazon and it works perfectly now. I'm specially happy since this is my first repair, ever! :)

Try recalibrating them, it looks like its 'middle' has been set wrong, thats the only thing i can think of for that.

Unfortunately, this did not work. The joysticks don't go up or down, even in the calibration screen. Guess I'll need to replace them :c
