My Sony Bravia KDL-42W674A goes into safe mode with a red blinking light (blinks 6 times) Eery time the Playstation 5 or the Satellite box tries to connect to the TV. The same happens when I try to access the TV Settings or Navigate to update the Software. Any suggestions on a fix?

According to the service manual a 6 blink error code indicates that there may be a problem on the "B" board. If not there then it may be the LVDS ribbon cable to the tcon board, the tcon board or worst case the LCD panel.
Here is an image showing the blink error code triage chart as well as the 6 blink error troubleshooting flowchart that may help.

I have the same problem with KDL-42W700B. I tried to hard reboot using backend push buttons, TV boots into shows a black dark area at the footer of TV screen and then turns off with same 6 times red blinking LED. I have spend 200$ in 2023 to get it repaired twice when the repair guy mentioned he changed the board but I doubt.
@tantujsingh it blinks because you are having a backlight error. You mentioned that " black dark area at the footer of TV screen" which is a sign of failed LEDs. Replacing the backlight array should fix this issue. This is not a board error.
Thanks @oldturkey3 for the suggestion. Do you have a reference video / article on how I can replace the backlight array of TV myself and how does the spare part look like.
