Hi @contactemail,

If it shows BOOT MENU PCI LAN REALTEK PXE B09 D00 then it's trying to boot from a network drive, which unless it is normally connected via an Ethernet cable to a network server isn't there.

Make sure that the HDD is the 1st boot option in BIOS.

If there's no HDD being detected in BIOS then there's a problem with the HDD or the connection to the HDD.

If the HDD is detected in BIOS then there's a problem with the boot record (MBR or GPT partition) in the HDD as the motherboard can't "see" it so that it can boot from the OS in the HDD.

What OS is installed in the laptop?

Thanks for responding,

OS = Windows 10

played with it a little, managed to get into bios, changed boot sequence.

& so get PC/device, boot config data file does not contain valid info for operating system.

FILE:\Boot\BCD

ERROR CODE : 0xc0000098

USE RECOVERY TOOLS

THEN got this message.

Thermal sensing error

So might be up for a fan as well.

Ordered a boot disk.
