TCL 55S403 Roku TV black screen steady white power light on

This tv was given to me because it didn't work. I don't know what it was hooked up to prior to this. I don't have the remote. I've tried all the power on/off fixes. Reset, etc. How can I get to see the settings so I can try some of those fixes? I can't see anything on my screen. Please be specific with steps. Do I use a remote? I dont have the remote that came with the tv. But I do have a Roku voice control remote that is paired with the tv. I also downloaded the mobile remote to my phone. Is there a way I can hook up another display or can someone tell me the exact buttons and order of those buttons to push on the remote to change the darkness? the power button usually stays solid white but if I turn off and on it will blink for a few minute Or anything else I can try? Also should I hook anything up to the tv? I have cable hooked up, the app hooked me up to WiFi. I have a Roku stick hooked up to hdmi. I can see through the app my inputs. I've tried all of them except USB. Don't know what to hook up there. Thank you!

@zowie13342 Let's start by downloading the user manual. You can get that manual here.

First, let's try using the reset button (Figure D on page 7 of the manual or page 9 of the PDF). Unplug the TV (if plugged in) and plug the TV in. Use something that can reach in far enough and press the recessed reset switch for a few seconds, then release it. Do you see or hear anything?

Hi Andrew! Thank you for answering and helping me. Yes. It restarted when I pushed reset. I'm know a little about electronics. I saw a video on replacing the led lights and I would rather not do that if I don't have to. 🙁. I can see a little bit if the screen if I hold a a certain way. So if I knew what the screen looked like that I was supposed to be on it would help a great deal. Yesterday I read that you have to actually be watching a video or show for the tv settings to come up. That was an eye opener. It got the audio to come on. I can't seem to get the settings menu up. I can see letters but they don't make sense. It might be the name of a show? Isn't there an app that's like a reverse mirror. Where I can see and control the tv screen from my Android?

@zowie13342 Can you upload a picture of what your TV looks like currently (turn it on if it isn't already on)? Adding images to an existing question
