The F22 is a door lock failure. Depending on your exact model number, you will need a specific part number to replace the door lock. It's a simple fix, about 5-15 minutes.

Disregard the other answer, F22 door lock failure is for a WASHER not a dryer.

For a DRYER, the F22 is an issue at the Outlet Thermistor. If F22 (or F23) flashes in the display after the dryer has been running for a minute or so and then the dryer shuts off, the issue is F22/F33 = Outlet Thermistor Fail and I think is that it is not controlling the heat appropriately (unable to shutoff heating element I think). You can also test this by running air dry (i.e., without heat) and it will NOT shutoff and NOT give error F22.

Per the technician manual, Check wire connections at machine control electronics (board) and at the thermistor. If the connections are ok, check the thermistor (Replace it if it's faulty, should be 10 kOhms), and check the two red wires at the outlet thermistor with a multimeter set to read ohms, and check each wire to the ground and if either is >0 ohms, then replace the WIRE HARNESS.
