Hard drive/Cable not working

So I've tried 2 cables, 2 hard drives and j can't seem to get the hard drives to spin up! Stuck on the flashing question mark and no startup keys are working at all, Looked for visible damage to connectors and motherboard components and there is none! Any help appreciated trying not to put any more money into it

Answer this question I have this problem too

Give this a read Mac startup key combinations

Are you sure you have a working keyboard? Try an external USB Mac keyboard to double check.

Can you give us some background on what happened. Did you have a liquid spill or dropped your system.

I sadly only have windows keyboards, I have a wireless keyboard for Mac but that won't do me any good, I never dropped it or spilt liquid on it just stopped booting one day, Replaced the cable and replaced the new cable but none of it worked, Checked the drives on my working computer and they work just fine, No visible damage to the board or connector

@xkienholz - The HDD SATA cable is a bit delicate! There are a few issues

1 - Some cables from third parties where not to spec!

2 - People tend to over crease the cable which damages the thin foil wires. I use an old BIC pen ink straw as a forming break. Making sure not to bend the cable beyond its radius.

3 - Case abrasion! I use a single strip of electricians tape where the cable rests.

@danj Well the cable is fine and working so, I didnt crease it and ive had electrical tape where the hard drive goes so I really dont know at this point, didnt know where to check voltages so I just put my positive and negative on different sides of the port and max volts I got was 4.45

@xkienholz - OK forget the HDD cable for now... Lets go back to the Keyboard you need a USB keyboard and a Windows one will work! the key assignments are a bit different. Give this a quick read Using a Windows keyboard with a Mac done dive deeper unless you want more confusion as all we care about is these keys mapping for the Startup commands.
