Kodak 760 projector plastic gear that drives the advance had crumbled

I have a Kodak 760 projector that I started using after many years in storage. It did work for a short while. then it stopped advancing the slides. I took the cover off and immediately found the problem: the plastic gear that drives the advance had crumbled into many pieces. I can't locate about half of the gear, so gluing it back together won't work. Any idea on parts availability?

Thanks,

Averla

Hi @averla

Here's the parts list for the projector that may help.

I don't know the model but from your description is it the cam shaft assembly worm gear (part #169734) as seen in Fig.30?

If it is here's a supplier that may have the part. I say may have as they state that have 28 in stock but this depends on whether or not they keep their website updated. Perhaps try contacting them to find out.

(If you have a Windows PC then when you're on the supplier's webpage in your browser, press the Ctrl key + f key (both together) and type 169734 in the search box to locate the part number in the supplier's list)

If it is not the part that you need perhaps the diagrams in the manual will help you to find the correct one. Once found, either search through the supplier's list (see above) or search online for Kodak (insert part number) to hopefully find suppliers of the part.
