My CD player will spin but it says noCD what should I do?

I really love this radio but the CD player will spin a disc but won't recognize it. I don't know if I should replace the whole thing or repair it.

@fakeanon well this looks like a known-to-sony issue. Check on here about their explanation.

You know that in all likelihood, you will need a new optical pick-up. To get into your Sony boombox, use something like this video

When I searching for fixes I came across that too but the serial numbers don’t match up tho but you never know tbh

@fakeanon once you have your "boom Box" taken apart, we would need to see your CD drive. That way we can get you the proper pick-up since there are various models for it.
