[Linksys E5600] Need to set wifi channel manually after restart

My router is E5600, not E1200. After a restart, I need to login to the router page and select and unselect the wifi channel to 'Auto'. Otherwise, it merely shows up on all devices but I can't connect to the wifi from any of the devices. I'm able to access internet via LAN, so that makes it clear the issue is with the Wi-Fi. Can anyone tell me a possible solution to this problem? I can't keep having to login and change the channel manually after a restart

Answer this question I have this problem too

I use Linksys Wi-Fi extenders and they were quirky. I have to ask the obvious question - have you updated the firmware? I was ready to junk them at first.

Normally when I’m having issues with a router the first thing I’ll do is perform a hard reset of the router. This can be accomplished by making sure the router is connect to power and is on then inserting the end of a paper clip into the reset hole and holding the reset button down for 20-30 seconds. Once the router has been reset, you will have to reconfigure it. Make sure that during the reconfiguration process you update it’s firmware to the latest version.

Hope this helps!
