Distributor ignition system for spark or is this '95 Toyota using EFI (electronic spark and electronic fuel injection)? Which model was the engine adapted to dune buggy use? Any electrical/electronic mods to engine?

Fuel injection ef1 1800 we believe that was adapted with a kit and can’t find the numbers

Again. Distributor ignition or EFI electronic ignition system? Distributor ignition, whether using contact points and ignition coil or electronic distributor using electronics instead of contacts, distributor ignition systems are old school but relatively easy to troubleshoot. Electronic ignition systems as part of electronic fuel injection requires a crank sensor generating timing signals used to operate the ecm/pcm to operate the entire EFI system. Three different ignition systems and you haven't described which one is used.
