My camera is not getting swicthed on .
The Camera is about 8 years old. Approximately within 1 year it developed a malfunction and stopped switching on. Unfortunately we were unable to trace the Invoice and were therefore unable to avail the Warranty. Later when we We sent it to Sony Service Centre, they quoted an exorbitant cost..almost equal to the original cost of the camera !
Is there anything that can be done ?

How is the battery? Have you replaced it with a new one? What other checks have you done? Can you post a shot of the board here so we can see?
