How do I get the back off if the center screw covers are aluminum?

There seem to be screws under these hard center covers because although the keyboard is loos around all edges it won't release. How do you remove these screw covers? I've enclosed a photo

Hi @amberwatkins,

There are two more screws underneath the plastic screw covers in the middle of the back cover.

Try to gently pry them out to access the screws beneath, with either a pry tool (example only) or a suitably sized, flat blade screwdriver. The tool list on p.20 of the guide (see link below) shows all of the tools that are required to complete all of the removal and replacement procedures shown in the guide

Here's the maintenance and service guide taken from this support webpage for the laptop.

Go to the bottom of p.24 to view the pre-requisite steps and then p.25 to view how to remove the keyboard/top cover assembly.
