Why is status bar (top grey bar) not working after screen replacement

Tonight I replaced my front screen digitizer and lcd. After going to a flawless install, I found a disappointing problem. My top status bar is not working, and the screen is not too responsive around the middle-top left of the device. Any clues on what can be causing that and how to fix it ? Thanks !
