KitchenAid French Door Ice Maker leaking water through the door

I have a 10+ year old KitchenAid French Door Fridge that has Ice/Water through the door. Ice Maker drips water through the door opening. It appears that the door where the ice comes out doesn't close all the way so the ice may be melting. Does anyone have a fix or suggestion for this?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Hi @mj470,

What is the model number of the refrigerator?

Try placing a sheet of paper between the door and the door jamb and then with the door closed normally try pulling it out. By normally I mean no pressure on door so that it is fully shut. Just close it as you normally would

It will come out with a bit of an effort, but not easily and it definitely shouldn't fall out by itself.

Do this at various places around the door, top, bottom and both sides.

If it comes out too easily or falls out, check that the door seals are OK e.g. not loose, broken, twisted etc and also that the door is aligned parallel top and bottom, to the cabinet as it may be a hinge adjustment problem
