Wii has video, but no audio

I just replaced the disc drive in my Nintendo Wii; prior to replacement, the Wii had video and audio, but wouldn't read discs. Now, it reads discs and has video, but there's no audio. I've tried adjusting the Wii settings, and nada.

Any suggestions?

I always preface my answers with "I don't really know, so you shouldn't listen to me....but"

I know when I open up consoles, and everything doesn't work like it did prior to me cracking them open, it usually means I didn't plug everything back in tightly enough.... or I killed it dead and in which case I will have to live with that shame for the rest of my life. Here's hoping you just need to go back in there and make sure all the connections are secured, as I wouldn't wish the shame of being a console killer on anyone....Best of Luck!
