Trying to figure out if my controller is wireless

This controller is not the switch pro, it is the Hori switch pad pro. I am trying to see if I connect an external battery to it if it will work wirelessly but don't want to waste money on it and have it not work

Hi, these controllers only work when connected to the Switch, and don't work wirelessly. (at least that is what a quick Google search says)
