To factory reset your laptop and install Linux, follow these steps:

  1. Back up your data to an external device or cloud service.
  2. Obtain permission from your company to make changes to the laptop.
  3. Disable BitLocker encryption by consulting your IT department.
  4. Once BitLocker is disabled, initiate the factory reset through system settings or the BIOS/UEFI menu.
  5. Create a bootable USB or DVD with the Linux distribution you want to install.
  6. Restart the laptop, boot from the installation media, and follow the prompts to install Linux.
  7. Customize settings, install software, and personalize the Linux OS to your preferences.

Remember to comply with company policies and seek permission before modifying the company-issued laptop.
