Failing to hold a charge.

Hello! I tried changing the battery on my iPhone XS Max for the first time, I ordered the battery kit on iFixIt, then tried doing the repair, accidentally punctured the battery which caused smoke (the battery wasn't plugged into the logic board), which I immediately brought outside for 2 days, then went to the phone, removed the punctured battery from the device and tried pluging in my old battery which still worked, just had low batter health (79%), now the phone charges up to 1% and shuts down after, when I removed it from the charger it still worked but had 1%. In addition to that the phone is telling me that the battery is not a genuine battery, even tho it has never been replaced (to my knowledge) Any help would be great.

Answer this question I have this problem too

hello, you should carefully check around the battery connector and the connector itself with a magnification glass. I guess you damaged some little components when you removed the battery.

If some component is missing or connector is damaged, check with microsoldering shop.
