How do I remove a stripped screw for the wifi card?

I recently bought a compatible wifi-6 card for a Dell Latitude e6430 that I've been steadily upgrading as my mother's personal computer.

I've done every upgrade I could at this point aside from the wifi card. My issue is that the screw holding the wifi card together is incredibly tight, and heavily stripped (O-shaped). I've already tried the rubber band, a precision rotary pen, and small screw extracting pliers which were too big to work with.

Any suggestions for removing and replacing this wifi card and screw would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Dolos,

iFixit makes a set of screw extracting drivers that might be worth considering to get that stubborn screw out.

Precision Screw Extractor Set: Small Stripped Screw Remover

You could also try drilling off the head of the screw; at that point the circuit board should lift off the shaft at which point you would hopefully be able to once again get pliers on the shaft of the screw to turn it out.

As strictly a last resort kind of remedy if you absolutely cannot get the board out any other way, you can always take some wire cutters and cut away the circuit board around the screw. This, of course, will destroy the existing WiFi board, but if you're replacing it anyway it would allow you space to get a pair of pliers on the head of the screw to remove it.

These last two are pretty much desperation measures, but may be necessary if you've gotten to that point.
