The trackpad and keyboard are not working in windows or linux

So I've had this laptop for 2 year but only used it for 6 months because one day I think the laptop got stuck in tablet mode. The keyboard and trackpad are not being registered, and the only way to navigate is via the touch screen. Is there anyway to fix this?

The connection from the keyboard and trackpad could be damaged or disconnected. Is the power button on the keyboard, or is it on the side?

The power button is on the side. And the keyboard will work someone times on the bios but never on an OS.

Then I'm guessing it's the connection from the MB to the lower half/keyboard

I'll see what I can do maybe I can clean it up and it's just something in the middle of the connection.
