Am getting as message that my Apple ID & phone number are being used

Got this message from Apple. I didn't do it. Note states that if I recently signed in that I can ignore this message. It does not state what to do if I didn't. Any advice?

Hi Mayer! I would recommend going into your Apple ID and changing your password ASAP and remove saved devices. This will kick out whoever logged in and secure your account if someone got into it.
