If there was an error code, post it. On the chance that you misunderstood the error as a manifold fault, is this the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor error, P0105?

A MANIFOLD????

There is an EXHAUST and an INTAKE manifold. They are purely mechanical. I have never seen a diagnosis of a bad manifold.

Therefore, replacing one wouldn't solve any problems unless it was physically broken.

So, your problem needs more diagnosis. A problem like that should set a code. Unless maybe your parking brake is set.
