Drain pump continuously runs and runs

Drain pump wouldn't stop running no matter what I did I took apart the washer and found a washcloth clogged in the drain filter. Removed it along with any other debris and cleaned everything down. Check for clogs on all the hoses and elbows. Put everything back together and the drain pump continues to run no matter what I do. I don't know how to determine if it is the pump itself that needs to be replaced, the control board , the water level sensor or something else entirely. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am stuck.

I went through Maytag diagnostics it runs to C1 - fills the washer with water and then stops completely.

Here's the tech sheet for your washer

On p.1 it shows the causes for a C1 error code.Since it is filling OK check that the water temp is OK (install manual shows the hot water supply needs to be120F) and also that the basket has lifted.
