Hello Jay

If the Y button on your Nintendo Switch Pro Controller is not working, it could be due to a number of reasons. Here are some things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Clean the button: Sometimes dirt or debris can accumulate under the button, preventing it from registering presses. Try using a compressed air can or a soft-bristled brush to clean around the button.
  2. Reset the controller: Try resetting the controller by holding down the Sync button on the back for 5 seconds until the lights start flashing. Then, try reconnecting the controller to your Switch and see if the Y button works.
  3. Replace the battery: If the battery is low or failing, it could be causing issues with the button. Try replacing the battery and see if the Y button starts working again.
  4. Check for physical damage: If the controller has been dropped or otherwise physically damaged, it could be causing issues with the Y button. Check the button and surrounding areas for any signs of damage.

If none of these steps work, it's possible that there is a problem with the button's circuitry or the controller's internal components. In that case, it may be best to contact Nintendo customer support or an authorized repair center for further assistance.
