Is the pixel 3XL camera compatible with the Pixel 3 (non-XL variant)?

I'm looking to replace the camera on my pixel 3 (non XL variant), and to reduce e-waste, I'm looking into buying a used camera. Does anyone know if the pixel 3XL camera is compatible with the pixel 3? From the repair guide here on ifixit, it looks to be physically the same, but the model numbers on them differ. I'm not sure whether they would be compatible or not.
