I recently replaced a burnt out back light in my TV

The screen is now brighter on the bottom and darker on the top, I was wondering if anyone might know the direct cause before I tear it apart and trial and error to try and fix it thanks!

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

@brandonash64680 that is common if you just replaced one strip. It is due to the wear on the remaining strip. As a rule of thumb, I always replace the whole array to avoid this issue. Sometimes you can adjust it a little bit through the settings for your screen. It might take a little bit of trial and error.

I did end up replacing both strips. I was wondering if the way i placed the diffuser back could have that effect? I have bever really worked with LCDs before. Thanks alot for your response!

@brandonash64680 yes it can. Make sure that the strips are positioned properly and that none of the diffuser has moved and are aligned properly. Before you take it apart again, check the output LCD voltage from your power board. See if that voltage is pretty similar to both strips. You did check the strips to make sure that all the LED's are working on it etc? Just needing to rule out a bad strip.
